Moving Icons

Is there any way in DeepIn 15.4 to move icons from one category to another in the launcher( in the category mode).

There are quite a few icons that do not belong where they are placed when installing apps into DeepIn.

Thanks to any/all who offer any reply or help to this question.

Do you mean within the menu the icons for the apps are not where you think they should be? if yes.

you got a go into the desktop file and redo them

example, open a desktop file and look here, then change it. find one that is where you what it to be then look at this line within the desktop file : Categories
Code:
/usr/share/applications
Categories=X-XFCE;Audio;Mixer;AudioVideo;
then find the ones you want in that Category and just add that to the desktop file, edit and save as root user.

When i go to file manager and then to the system disk in order to display hidden files, then to user/share/applications. ALL that is there are the applications icons. Nothing is listed or shown concerning "category".

Sorry. not new to linux but am to DeepIn. Please point me in the correct direction.

PS i cannot find any way to toggle hidden files in the normal file browser. Right click does not list display hidden files

oh you're going in that way huh?

right click -> open -> pick a file/text reader like Kwrite/greny/etc..

hidden files is usually 'Ctrl+h' to show/hide
