icons moving after every boot


i am having a problem with the icons in mepis. each time i boot the computer the icons never seem to where i left them, they keep rearanging themselves. is there a way to fix this problem? and how do i get liquid weather to display weather information on montego bay jamaica?

For your icons, right click the desktop and check to see if "automatically align" or "snap to grid" is selected. If they are, unselect them.

icons still keep moving around, somtimes on top of each other

You may not be able to. I live about an hours drive outside a capital city and weather isn't available for my local area, I need to just forecasts for the capital and assume it's close enough.
