Tried to install DI using the French language. Installation went fine but upon reboot, I just get the grub command line interface and prompt. Re-install in English, no problem. It may be a problem with Ubuntu since I had this problem a long time ago. Can it be confirmed ?
TX
Standard installation on a 2 disks system (one ide 160GB and one sata 80Gb). Install the loader and DI on the 80GB. The 160Gb contain Linux Mint.
Please tell me the installation process in details, especially whether to use the expert mode in partition.
If so, your system boot loader (grub) should be installed on your entire hard drive (if you have multiple hard drives, should be installed on the hard disk to start firstly)

Ok like I said I install Deep-In on an old 80gb sata disk. I used the expert mode for the partitioning. Create a swap file 8GB and only one main ext4 partition. Mounting point "/". The boot loader was set on this disk because I did not want it to interfere with the loader (dual boot) on the Mint disk since the sata disk is removable (rack). I set the bios to boot the sata of course. French install does not work but the same procedure in English has no problem. Beat's me ???
Your partition is no problem, but your system boot loader is installed with problems, you should install it on the entire hard drive, not on "/" and set it as the first boot hard drive. After installed, go into the control center of Deepin systems to set your default system.
