15.5 three finger tap on touchpad

Before 15.5 three finger tap on touchpad worked as middle mouse button. Now they made a very questionable decision and changed it.

Is it a way to return three finger tap as middle button feature?

the questionable decision was likely made by deepin's parent distro, debian.
i suspect it is the change from synaptics to libinput.
you can re-enable the older synaptics driver by simply installing it and rebooting.
it can be customized via synclient.
