Just A Quick Question

Hey guys! Just have a quick question. Where is a good place to look for Linux certification courses? I've looked at a few places online, but jeez man! it's like $1500! Just wondering if you guys knew of some places that were a tad cheaper, but still very good. I guess I don't mind paying a high price, as long as it's worth it. So if you guys know of a place or program like this and can share this with me, that would be awesome!

Btw, what kind of jobs could I land supposing I did get Linux certified? Probably a lot of networking offers, but anything else? Anyway, I'm taking IT certification courses right now, so we dip a tad into Linux in general. It's funny, because when they asked my experience with computers and I told them I used Linux, ubuntu in this case. They were like dude your smart. I'm thinking yeah, hardly, but hey, it got me somewhere, right?

Alright, enough said, thanks guys!

I suggest you to post the Query related to Certification at http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...tification-46/ Place.
That would help moderators keep things at right place and help everyone get reply to your query quick.

You can not move it or delete it yourself. You do not have permissions to do this stuff. You will have to ask moderators to close this thread and start a new one in relevant forum.

To answer the question at hand, I'm currently looking at doing the online training for the LPIC-1 certification that IBM supply. Here's a link.

I'm still in two minds as to whether to do LPIC or RHCT. LPIC is current favourite.

RHCT could be too basic and entry level. Why dont you look into RHCE instead?

Hi,

I am trying to decide whether or not to do RHCE.

How would do rate the difficulty level of doing the RHCE and chances of landing a Job in networking. What other jobs than networking is available for an RHCE.
