Removing unneeded x11 drivers?

I just ran "emerge -pv --update --deep world" and found that it wanted to update "x11-drivers/xf86-video-ati". Since I use an Intel graphics chipset, I would like to remove this (to save space).

Is there an easy way to do this (cleanly)?

Thank you.

add the
Quote:
VIDEO_CARDS="intel"
line to your make.conf (this is very well described in the gentoo handbook)
