unable to open display

After I finished the installation of FC3 test3, I find a problem:

When i using ssh to connect to remote machines and open a new window, for example: gv , the following error appears:

gv: Unable to open the display. (it's fine in Fedora core 1)

I don't know why. Could someone tell me how to do? Thanks a lot.
