Konqueror can't display JPG pictures.

FC8
Why is that in Konqueror file manager that you can see a few jpg pictures, instead your viewing the camera icons,
I know about clicking on pictures and opening them to view, but I want to see the pictures without opening them.

You could use thumbnails. When you move the cursor over a jpg filename in the konqueror window konqueror will display a small image of the jpg file. Take a look in the konqueror settings and enable thumbnails. If you use thumbnails a lot then you also need to periodically clean out the .thumbnails directory.

Now this is weird, I have two different FC8/KDE computers setting in front of me and looking at pictures on one instead of the Camera Icon and the other computer shows only Camera Icons for each picture, be it jpg, gif or whatever.
There has got to be a setting somewhere in Konqueror that would solve this.
I cannot find anything in Konqueror settings about Thumbnails.

I guess the setting is not labeled "thumbnails". To enable thumbnails in konqueror click on Settings -> Configure Konqueror -> Previews & Meta Data. Then check both Local Protocols and file. Then click on Apply.

If the file is too big, say 3MB? or more, it will display
as an icon only, no preview.
(I'm on a wXP machine today and can't test size !!)

Regards
