802.11g

I just picked up a D Link DWL-AG650 and am having trouble trying to get it to work with Fedora. From what I can tell my card is based on the athereos chipset so I downloaded the Madwifi drivers. When I try and run the make file I get the following message.

The present kernel configuration has modules disabled.
Type 'make config' and enable loadable module support.
Then build a kernel with module support enabled.

I am kind of new to Linux and have no clue how to do this. Does Fedora support 802.11.G? Do I need to recomplie the Kernel to make this work? If so is there somewhere I can get step by step instructions on how to configure the madwifi drivers?

I wouldn't think you should have to recompile the kernel for this. I have no experience with this card, but madwifi has some docs that may be appropriate:

Their wiki... If you go to User recipies it looks like they have one for Fedora

When all else fails.... The FAQ

If you have any specific error messages post them.

Good Luck,
Jeff
