Network connection problem

Hi,

I have installed Debian 3.1 on a Proliant server. There is no router or hardware firewall and I have a dual port NIC. eth0 and eth1 are up and running with their own static IP address. I can ping either one from the server, but can not ping them from any other machine. Both IP's are listed in my /etc/hosts and /etc/resolv.conf files (as nameservers using bind9). Are there any other configuration files that need to have these IP's listed? Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks...

Brian

Post route -n from the server.
Are you sure /etc/resolv.conf has the correct nameserver info
How did you set up bind?

I set up the system using the 'Perfect Install' for ISPConfig, which does a base install of Debian 3.1 with no X windows. ISPConfig uses a script to install, compile, and configure the components it needs, including bind9. As I am using this server as a DNS I have configured my /etc/resolv.conf as follows:

search ed.shawcable.net (this was in the default configuration...Shaw is my ISP for this machine)
nameserver 68.149.224.197 (static IP I used to configure my Domain Registrar nameservers)
nameserver 68.59.184.13 (ISP nameserver)
nameserver 68.59.184.15 (ISP nameserver)
Nameserver ns1.hostesp1.com (nameservers setup with Domain Registrar)
Nameserver ns2.hostesp1.com "
Nameserver ns3.hostesp1.com "
Nameserver ns4.hostesp1.com "
Nameserver ns5.hostesp1.com "
Nameserver ns6.hostesp1.com "
