can not log into GNOME with "Power Manager have not been installed correctly"

It looks like a normal issue with suspend can not be resume error.

I tried to use recovery login with us, but when I tried to use

Code:
apt-get --reinstall install gnome-desktop
I have been told "reinstallation of XXX is not possible, it can not be download."

I tried gnome, gonome-power-manager, it is does not work either.

Not sure what you're trying to do. There is no such package as "gnome-desktop" to my knowledge.

Suspend/resume problems are usually related to the display driver rather than a DE's power manager. More info about your system is needed, also the full outputs of the commands you are trying to run would be helpful.

I did nothing this time. I suspend, and then I can not log into GNOME anymore with the power manager have not been installed correctly" message. That's all I did.

I do not remember the kernel of my Debian, but what I remember is I am running squeeze with almost everything up to date.

I am using an old ATi radeon X1300/1550 series video card, and Pentium dual core E5400 CPU on Gigabyte G41 MB.

Could I get some direction what information I should take. Thanks a lot.

Ok odd...

Code:
aptitude reinstall gnome-power-manager
If that doesn't do it, then I wonder if you're simply running out of space...? Certainly a factor if you're trying to suspend to disk?

Code:
df -hTl
