no gui-desktop, error:gnome-power-management not installed correctly

Hey all, i booted my system as normal but as the login should happen my screen goes black for a few seconds and afterwards i return unlogged to the login-screen with the additional error message, containing:
"Installation problem. the standard configuration for the gnome-power-management isnt installed correctly. Please refer to your system administrator."(error message may defer a bit cause i translated, but i do not think there is a lot to do worth )

tried the following:
alt+ctrl+f1 and logged in
sudo apt-get purge gnome-power-management gnome-applets
sudo apt-get install gnome-power-management gnome-applets gnome-session ubuntu-desktop

sadly i got no visual changes
any hints are welcome and thanks in advance. hope u have a good idea, i´m really rid of it

tried a few minutes ago. sorry for waiting but in the moment i am totaly overwhelmed with my stuff at home.
sadly it doesnt work. installed the file through console with:
sudo dpkg -i gnome-power-manager-....i386.deb
install seems to run good but i still get the same error message, popping up in the upper right corner when the login-screen appears
any further ideas are welcome

sorry for double post but i believe an edit wont show up this thread with new content in it
