I have DSL 1.1 live....kernel panick?

Yea so while I'm booting up I get a bunch of missing files errors and then a "kernel panick"

WTF?

1 of two things:

#1 Bad CD Burn

#2 it didn't recognize your CD-rom(ironic I know since it's booting from it) and panic'd because it can't find the root files.

tested it out on laptop and works fine...

desktop is a no go stilll

Check the messages that scroll by when booting, does it mention anything about the cd-rom not being detected correctly? Is this an older machine, or perhaps has a SCSI cdrom of some kind?

Umm no it's a fairly new build. I built it umm january. I even tried it on my 2nd cd drive. The main one is a dvd/cd burner. The 2nd is just for cd-rom.
