1.1 Live CD

I know next to nothing about DSL. `cept that it's small. I'm going to be running it on a pentium 133 laptop with 32 megs of ram. I want to play with the live cd a bit before I install it. Here's the snag. Does the live CD touch the current configuration at all..at ALL. Or does it leave everything be like the Ubuntu LiveCD does?

/K

I just received DSL 1.1 today. I stuck it in my Win ME machine and rebooted. Voila! A couple of minutes later I was surfing the web, playing with word processors, and in general checking DSL out. It is a downright COOL little OS. I want to play with it some more before doing anything drastic but I think I will install it to the HDD on one of my boxes as an internet browser.

It did not affect anything that I know of in my Windows install. Try it, you will like it.

DSL will not install to the hard drive unless you want it to.

Linux usually does not invoke auto-install scripts like windows does.

Thanks, guys, it's 4x4, now. I went through the script to install it on the hard drive after playing with it. Now I need to throw another thread up here so I can square away a display problem and a not having any sound.

/K
