What is wrong here?
There is a default config section in the link that was looked up for you, which you should try first. Remove the thunderbird line in what you posted. May also want to tell us what version of CentOS you're using, and give us something more than "don't work" for an error, such as providing the exact things you typed in, and what the results were. We can't guess.

Hello,
the problem with missing PGP support in Thunderbird is in CentOS 7 and CentOS 8.
Also installing Thunderbird via snap give the same problem.
Where are the settings for this installation stored - not in ~/.thunderbird?
Ok. it is in ~/snap/thunderbird

I have now installed Thunderbird from thunderbird-102.2.1.tar.bz2
https://www.thunderbird-mail.de/herunterladen/
in my /home-directory as ~/thunderbird and it works well.
