CentOS/ RedHat, gdm: customize with /etc/X11/gdm/Init/Default

Hello,

why is /etc/X11/gdm/Init/Default not executed by gdm? I inserted into "Default"

echo "hello123" > /tmp/test123

and the file test123.txt is not created! Who can help?

Selinux is disabled in /etc/selinux/config
SELINUX=disabled

Because the HOWTO you're perusing is almost 17 years old. On RHEL/CentOS 7/8, the GDM configuration is under /etc/gdm rather than /etc/X11/gdm

thx for help. In a mailing list I got this information, too. /etc/gdm/Init/Default exists, ... [edit .. deleted]

Works!! But /etc/gdm/Init/Default is excecuted after login, same with /etc/gdm/PreSession/Default.
Somebody here has an idea how to execute something while gdm shows XDMCP login to user? - I search the aquivalent to "Xsetup" (Suse) / "Xsetup_0" (RedHat) for xdm.
