I know you're not going to like it, but I have to tell you since I started using Ubuntu I have no more worries, everything just works like a charm.
It has a very good lightweight browser.

Not sure why you think I cared. Use whatever distro that satisfies your needs. What browser are you talking about anyway?

I use Pale Moon on my Windows 10 PC and I can say there is a lot of updating that goes on (I find myself wondering if there are other motives than security due to the almost weekly - and sometimes sooner - updating - making sure that the product is always in your face???). Regardless, I do like Pale Moon, but have not made it available in bodhi yet.

I see this behavior on Firefox and Brave and Chrome and Vivaldi, but not on Ubuntu.

It is true that updates are not announced in linux the same way that happens on Windows. But there are updates happening in linux for these browsers, just 'quieter'. It may have something to do with the updating/upgrading methodology used in linux, or that less of a need for updates in linux environments due to smaller number of security issues, or that the windows environment can be utilized for marketing in a way that linux does not make available. Just my 2 cents...

Firefox is version 80. Why do you bumping old version, have you contribute to code?

Palemoon is not firefox and does not have the same numbering as firefox. 28.13.0 is the latest/greatest.

For the record I found palemoon on twitter and am now following them. So in theory I will see them post about new releases and be able to stay more on top of this.
