Must have missed that comment, sorry about that.
For broadcom chipsets that are not supported by the b43-fwcutter package you need to installed the
bcmwl-kernel-source package for the other chipsets to work. First thing purge the b43-fwcutter package and then be sure to install the
linux-headers package for your current kernel

sudo apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r)
That should do the trick ^
Reboot after removing the b43-fwcutter package and then install the
bcmwl-kernel-source package. Reboot once more and you should be good to go!
