Hey Randy and tristam.... i left bodhi and redid 3 laptops with something else and still wasn't happy and checked into other stuff but had to come back.
lost some grapes to squirrels mostly they ripped my 2 new nets into shreds and damaged the rest of the rows. costly.
so i ended up with 21 gals only after the racks. they are sitting in the carboys until final rack and bottle.
found some great mercier med toast oak this year. need to pick up 5 lbs for next year but still have some older french chips to use.
just[planted very late 25o garlic and the rest of my fall stuff. still harvesting stuff too and eating a bucnh of homemade jams daily with homemade breads. bunch os sauce in freezer and peppers and tomatoes.
just a thought - and a bad one on my end. but i have a poodlemail account - that we could use to send me names and contact emails and maybe i could put a list together so we have contact to each other if things go down the tubes again.... my real 2 protonmail accounts are my personal and i have a biz email through my website host server; but the other mentioned might be doable. thoughts????
i personally not into the mail list... seen a great forum in UK change to email lists and they lost 80% of the people and to hard to read all that stuff in the formats that was provided. my list of emails would be sent back in encrypted emails to the participants so no one would be online through this forum re; their respective contacts. the list would be sent to participants as such... maybe at this time to some of the old forum people to make sure new ones are not scams. not being elitist/exclusionist - just trying to do it right for everyone.

Ok - let's see what some of the others want to do. after the forum went down - and yes it was overnight; i saw some french guy post a question about the eu thing and next morning - no forum. i do not see anyone else closing up shop. to me seems like an easy fix to have people sign in with some clause to cover jeff's butt and that is it. personally i think it was way overkill. and like the eu is going to chase bodhi down with so many hundreds of thousands of sites that are larger if not huge. so not having access to people to ask a question if needed and to just keep some community contact ad hoc was shot. Hence this offer.
I don't think I ever contemplated abandoning Bodhi (although I DID look at Lubuntu just to see where it had got to), but I was worried I might not be able to get any help. I am glad to see the support system is still (largely) extant. Is Charles around?
