This thread is for discussion of alps failure owing to broken package and patch links in build scripts

The following error occurs while installing libarchive:

Executing /var/cache/alps/scripts/libarchive.sh

Error occured in execution of /var/cache/alps/scripts/libarchive.sh
Aborting

Provide alternate download link for the patch whose link is broken:

alps src http://lfs.wjack.org/patches/downloa..._fixes-1.patch

And continue:

alps install libarchive

grilo link in incorrect. In case download failure happens in alps for grilo, then perform the following action:

sudo sed -i "s@grilo-0.3,0.tar.xz@grilo-0.3.0.tar.xz@g" /var/cache/alps/scripts/grilo.sh
alps src ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/sources/grilo/0.3/grilo-0.3.0.tar.xz

then continue...

py2cairo fails to download with the following error:

Executing /var/cache/alps/scripts/python-modules#py2cairo.sh

Fix:

alps src pkgs.fedoraproject.org/repo/pkgs/pycairo/py2cairo-1.10.0.tar.bz2/20337132c4ab06c1146ad384d55372c5/py2cairo-1.10.0.tar.bz2

and then continue with the build...

pycairo download fails with the following error:

--2016-05-10 16:53:55-- http://cairographics.org/releases/py...1.10.0.tar.bz2

HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 403 Forbidden

Error occured in execution of /var/cache/alps/scripts/python-modules#pycairo.sh
Aborting

Fix:

alps src ftp.osuosl.org/pub/blfs/7.8/python-modules/pycairo-1.10.0.tar.bz2

and then continue with the build.
