Hi folks,

i want to give Archlinux a try & i was wondering if my synaptics touchpad will work orrect after the instalation? i've read that the new kernel 2.6.x has some issues with the touchpad. and also does it support ReiserFS 4?

Well, I don't know the touchpad thing, but I know lots of people use Arch on their laptops.

But hardware support is a kernel thing. If one distribution supports it, all do. Arch uses 2.4 by default though, not 2.6.

ReiserFS4 has not been merged into any standard tree, 2.4 or 2.6, so you'd have to patch it yourself.
