antiX is

a spin of MX Debian
This guy is comedy gold. Ass and elbow come to mind.

From the MX homepage

Quote:
MX Linux is a cooperative venture between the antiX and MX Linux communities. It is a family of operating systems that are designed to combine elegant and efficient desktops with high stability and solid performance. MX’s graphical tools provide an easy way to do a wide variety of tasks, while the Live USB and snapshot tools inherited from antiX add impressive portability and remastering capabilities. Extensive support is available through videos, documentation and a very friendly Forum.
MX is built on top of antiX-core using the build-iso scripts written by antiX (and further developed by MX devs).

Andy-1 seems to have problems with dates. The video that he links to of Loc-OS is NOT of their latest version. Early Loc-OS DID acknowledge its antiX roots (antiX 19 series), but later versions claim that it is independent and does not rely on antiX at all. Loc-OS complained that our usage of no elogind broke their implementation of lxde and policykit. There is even a video produced by them about it. They blamed us for breaking their spin.

Now about the Loc-OS iso, I actually think they have done a good job in providing a very lightweight lxde distro, particularly for Spanish speakers. I hope they will continue to do so and provide support for it.

antiX has made it clear for many years that we are not interested in providing an antiX-lxde.iso. We use window managers, not desktop environments. Loc-OS is a good lxde spin of antiX even if they claim otherwise.

I know it's painful to watch.. Yet much praised on Antix Forum...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrJk6qCw1gQ Bob Currie's AntiX21 IceWM Better Performance Tweaks – the joke – fans running flat out as CPU in meltdown.

Have you ever seen such a bad inefficient setup as this?

Once again Andy decides to antagonise rather than interact with any posts. He is really a broken record.

He did this consistently over at antiX and that is why he was banned (he did the same at other forums and is doing the same here).
He annoyed and verbally ridiculed some of our mods (as you can see in his posts in this thread) and plenty of users too.

He asks to get back on topic to discuss Loc-OS and immediately posts another tirade against an antiX mod.

1984 is more appropriate than Animal Farm.

Anticapitalista - the Joker strikes again…

Anticapitalista - Now about the Loc-OS iso, I actually think they have done a good job in providing a very lightweight lxde distro, particularly for Spanish speakers. I hope they will continue to do so and provide support for it.

Anticapitalista - Locos por Linux is a fraud.
His ‘spin’ is antiX plus lxde.
He does not mention that. In fact he pretends it is based on Debian.
He does not give any recognition to antiX.
Anyone with half a brain can see it is an antiX spin

Which is it Dude…?

Do you now admit you were wrong…? He does not give any recognition to antiX.
Please make your mind up..!

You can see first hand the hypocrisy and duplicity you have to deal with…

What is not disputed is lack of freedom of speech and the subversion of George Orwell’s books Animal Farm and 1984 or on Anticapitalista’s AntiX Forum.

I wish that all forum members have free unhindered access to information about LXDE, Xfce, KDE, Antix, Loc-OS or any other information; for them to consider without threats or intimidation.

I wish for as many as possible – rather than just his 18 subscribers – to see how bad an Antix setup can be on BobC’s YTube video with the fans working overtime to stop CPU meltdown – he even proudly shows Htop going into swap. Antix forum members then line up to congratulate him for his video contributions.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrJk6qCw1gQ
No wonder YT comments got turned off after my intervention... Jeeeeeeeeeezzz..! Get real Anticapitalista – he then bans me for my critique – unbelievable..! Animal Farm or 1984 – take your pick – just like a Capitalist to control media via censorship, intimidation and banning.

The antagonists are the posters of misleading false information protected by Anticapitalista - Anyone with half a brain can see that

…… The animals looked in and could not tell the difference between the pigs and the humans….

Of course – we take it for granted – If you put it out there on the forum and-or public domain to expect comment both ways. To this end I put out my first ever screencast videos showing my own Antix-22 Full LXDE in action for comparison.

Screencast video showing LXDE desktop in action easily modding panel at Noob level – without modifying sys files.
https://c.gmx.co.uk/@778668705750974...SdazwDPMlWBahg

Screencast video showing ability of my old 2008 HP 3GiB laptop Antix-22 Full LXDE in action with LO Writer ready to edit file whilst watching three Ffox web page videos at the same time (one in HD) using just 1.5G RAM.
https://imgur.com/a/pImTXcK

Screenshot showing ability of my old 2008, 3Gib RAM, HP laptop Antix-22 Full LXDE with over 100 tabs open in Ffox – without issue. (see attachment)

Strange how these screencast videos seem to upset forum mods and admins who have mega RAM expensive kit operated in the most inefficient ways. Some moderators fail to disclose they work for Lubuntu and other enterprises whilst pretending they are neutral. They can’t have some 72 year old pensioner questioning their misleading and false information or their status. How can video evidence showing the outstanding performance of Antix LXDE be considered as antagonistic? Could it be mods or admin Anticapitalista have gone on (broken) record saying that their Rox-IceWM is more efficient?

What I do not like is the misinformation spread by Anticapitalista and his cronies on his forum – in particular about LXDE – eg #14. I feel it is in the interest of our LQ membership to expose this false misleading information such that they can experience LXDE for themselves, on low or high specification laptops, and make their own minds up without being put off by Anticapitalista and his cronies.

Please feel free to post any comments on my screencasts or those of Locos por Linux. Thanks to Anticapitalista and Loc-OS for their super-efficient Distros.
