Problem with Engrampa Archive manager

I can not figure out how to use the program.

I click new, select an archive name, but it does not prompt for files to add it it ?

Is there another easier to use file archiver ?

Did you try the "Add files to the archive" or "Add a folder to the archive" buttons further along on the Engrampa toolbar? Or try dragging files directly into the Engrampa window?

Help->Contents in Engrampa is useful.

Dragging the files worked.

The add files or add a folder buttons were greyed out even when Engrandpa was run as an admin. ??
