Failed to fetch cdrom:[Ubuntu 8.10 _Intrepid Ibex_ - Release i386 (20081029.5)]/dists


Failed to fetch cdrom:[Ubuntu 8.10 _Intrepid Ibex_ - Release i386 (20081029.5)]/dists/intrepid/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz

Anyone know how to fix this? I am on an Eee 1000h with no CD drive on it.

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
put a # before the line with cdrom

or put the cdrom in the drive

Make that: gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
Using sudo with GUI applications can cause issues, graphical frontends like gksudo/gksu/kdesudo do not have this issue.
