apt-get dist upgrade

After running this on my Warty Warthog system, my system now won't boot. Don't have alot of time to post since I need to get to work, but the long and short of it is that I now get:

Kernel Panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)

Whatever else I need to post for help, just let me know and I'll post it.

Thanks in advance,
Lincthra

It seems to me that you upgraded the kernel. You can always boot the old kernel, can't you?

Actually it tells me something about suddenly not being able to find that one when I try to go to it from Grub. Can I download the kernel from kernel.org and install it?
