I have redhat 7.2 running in my machine. I attempted to install suse 10.2 but there's a problem here. The message on the screen was that the machine do not have enough memory to run YaST advised to activate some swapspace. It presented two options: continue abort.

I choose continue, but the installation would not continue. Therefore I abort the installation and restarted. So I saw this message on the screen:
/sbin/inst_setup:line 1571 Segmentation fault \
depmod -a 2>/dev/null

Please who can help me to resolve this problem or advise me basic steps to install os in my machine.

Let us have the specs of your computer (mem. - cpu speed. - hd size) and the free space left on your hd. Suse 10.2 requires a min of 256 meg of mem and 6 gig of free space on the hd. It may be possible to get it installed with less but you won't be satisfied with the performance.
