opensuse instalation "failed to initialize catalog"

Hello,
I recently downloaded the dvd image of opensuse 10.2 , burnt it to a dvd and started installing it. During the installation an error comes "failed to initialize catalog". The same error comes if I start the installation from the original image on the harddisk. I don't think there is an error in the dvd image on the harddisk, don't know what they mean by this "catalog". Is it some file that can be downloaded ? If yes I am trying to install opensuse on my laptop,
Dell Inspiron 600m

Did you do the checksum, this is characteristic of a poor ISO.
Others have had better luck with a net install or downloading the CDs.
