no edge resistance in gnome.

Why there is no edge resistance in gnome-2.12 in OpenSuSE-10? Is there a way to provide edge resistance in gnome like what we have in kde?

likewise whenever i open online update or other modules in yast2 the window goes out of the srceen. any idea how to place it in the center of the screen whenever it is open?

Thnx.
