Koqueror Kate association

Dear,
One day I permitted Konqueror to Open a file with Kate.
Now i don't know how to get rid of her.
If I leftmouse click on an item Kate is activated.
Any hints how to disable that behaviour are welcome

Konqueror - Settings menu - Configure Konqueror. Click on File Associations. In the Known Types box, click on Text. You will see file types listed. Select the file type giving you trouble, and change the Application Preference Order.

Thanks for your help!
I also looked there.
The problem is that Kate starts if I press on a folder/directory icon
In the list of associated files I don't see the folder mentioned
as a file type.
I only have this problem if I have a root session.
It drives me crazy.
how can I default the total behaviour back to the factory settings?

If nothing else works, you can restore the initial settings by removing the ~/.kde directory of root. You will lose all the root settings, though.
