Gnome-terminal and others

Hello everyone;
I have moved to Linux OpenSuse 11.0, but there are many things I wanna know about. First thing is I wanna master dealing with the Gnome-terminal, Is there any good source to learn it? second thing is regarding the anti virus software, where can I find it?, last thing is, as for Pidgin, it does not support voice chatting. Are there any plugsin or alternative software for that purpose.
Thanks in advance

For the gnome-terminal, I guess you mean using the command line? If that is the case, check this link:

For an anti-virus, you really, really don't need one. Practically all viruses out there are made to run on Windows. They won't work in Linux. The only time I would consider using an Anti-virus in Linux is if I want to use my Linux boxes as a mail server. In that case, even though you won't be affect by the virus, you may be transmitting it to another Windows machine, so checking all your files is a good idea So, if you are going to use your computer for Desktop tasks, forget about it. Read here if you feel like it:

Pidgin does not support voice or video chatting as far as I know. It does support a lot of clients and it probably is the best vanilla messenger out there. If you use the MSN Protocol, you may check out aMSN. It supports both audio and video conversations for the MSN protocol:
