Can SuSE eval 10.0 work without CD 4?


I have problems with my ISP that a CD takes more than 7 hours to download and i got a wrong md5sum for cd 4

can i start installing using the 4 other CDs and download CD 4 and burn it later

Well at first I can tell you that there is no suse cd version of eval. Since suse 10.1. only 3 cds are needed for default kde/gnome installation. With suse 10 this is not the case, but if you're lucky you can get the intallation finished with the first three discs. Make sure you dont install any of the additional packages and go with the default selection presented. You can add the installation source as repository after installation and download extra packages needed.

so i downloaded the five CDs but i have a problem with burning it
i burnt it by nero exprees (burn image) but the CD wasn't bootable
i don't know why???
i'm sure that i made th CDroom frist boot from the mother board setup
can you help me in that case

Thank you i only needed the 3 cds the fourth was containing amarok which is not so important i can find alternatives and some libraries that i am in need of to install other programs
but there is a cd suse version of eval and i have downloaded and used it

try checking the md5sum of the cd
it happens alot the the cd is corrupted in some way
