[Suse] find version number

I would like to know the version number of a suse machine that was installed by someone who's no longer working with us.

/etc/issue & /etc/issue.net have been overwritten with custom messages.

"uname -amp" does not give the version number of Suse.

I also tried /proc/cpuinfo|meminfo|uptime etc. But I cannot get the version number.
