im running slackware 9.0 and installed it fine and everything.
im having problems most likely with my graphics driver when i type start x.
its a SIS 6215C and i cant find it in xf86config. i have the horizontal and
vertial syncz for the monitor but when i type startx it just hangz with a messed up screen and sometimes saying screen not found. i have tried using the sis sg86215 but to no avail. even tried using vesa but nothing.
plz help

look for SIS cards with similar model numbers when you choose the driver. a lot of the time you'll find a compatible driver for a card in the same model series.
sorry about my previous post, telling you to do what you said you did, I misread it in my hast and thaught you had looked at the XF86Config file, not that you ran xf86config :-P
