Ok so Installed xmms because the description said WinAmp look and feel and thats what I like. So when I ran it it dislayed but there were two libraries that were not find:
libesd.so.0
libvorbisfile.so.0
I looked up libesd and I was told to install the esound package. I did but I still got the same error about the two libraries.
After you installed esound and vorbis from the link kindly provided by MasterC run ldconfig as root, and most probably you will need to rebuild xmms afterwards.
also, make sure that the path to the libraries are in your /etc/ld.so.conf file (which should be only accessible by root) before running /sbin/ldconfig
