x11vnc not working on slackware current auth guess: failed for display='unset'
I've recently upgraded to Slackware Current and am trying to get my favorite tools running thereunder. I've used x11vnc (Karl Runge) for years and I love it. I've finally got it built under 'Current', but it's not running. I get:
Code:
$ x11vnc -auth guess -nopw -nomodtweak -shared -norepeat
10/03/2021 22:21:32 x11vnc version: 0.9.16 lastmod: 2019-01-05 pid: 31481
10/03/2021 22:21:32 -auth guess: failed for display='unset'
10/03/2021 22:21:32 -auth guess: since we are root, retrying with FD_XDM=1
10/03/2021 22:21:32 -auth guess: failed for display='unset'
This worked just fine with 14.2, but not with Current. Has anyone got it running with Current or otherwise knows the solution to this?
I've looked at the one referenced by your link on GitHub. Sorry to be an ignoramus, but I'm not very familiar with using GitHub. I don't know how to download that one from there. There's no obvious "download" button. Can you give me a tip?
