Another friend of mine was going over to a shipyard in Canada with the complete data for a vessel hull on punched cards. He got stopped in the custom and the custom officer was obviously rather curious about all these cards ... he lifted some out of a box - looked at them and said: "Oh - they are all used"
Thus - no custom fee was neccessary!!
