Vivaldi browser 6.5.3206.39 on current - Loads of errors

As you may know, I already made a thread with problems I had with Vivaldi 6.4...
https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...ng-4175731678/

Since I wasn't able to sort that installation, I thought I'd give current a try instead.
Reinstalled this desktop PC using an ISO provided by AlienBOB for current, dated Dec 17
Updated etc.

Installed Vivaldi 6.5.3206.39 using Ponce repo.
First thing I noticed was a file missing, required by the slackbuild (6.5.3206.39.html)
So I downloaded that file from SBo. Built and installed Vivaldi...

First thing that happen was:
chmod: cannot operate on dangling symlink './usr/bin/vivaldi-stable'
chmod: cannot operate on dangling symlink './opt/vivaldi/WidevineCdm'

The rest of the build was working fine.

Upon first start, I had some errors. Sadly I didn't copy these before I restarted the browser due to the
media support thingy...

Upon starting Vivaldi again, I first logged in to sync. That went ok, but I noticed that the
plasma integration logo, top right corner, was missing. It is crossed over by a red stripe/line.

Right click it, went to Options. Ended up with:
"Failed to connect to the native host"

At the same time I got this "error" message in konsole:
Code:
[10756:10756:1218/214021.310615:ERROR:CONSOLE(1)] "Refused to create a TrustedTypePolicy named 'dompurify' because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive: "trusted-types parse-html-subset sanitize-inner-html static-types lottie-worker-script-loader webui-test-script webui-test-html print-preview-plugin-loader polymer-html-literal polymer-template-event-attribute-policy".", source: chrome-extension://mpognobbkildjkofajifpdfhcoklimli/inject-root-bundle.js (1)
Searched the net for info, found that this could be related to a missing *.json file OR it is not installed to correct folder/path.

I checked if the following files exist:
Code:
etc/kde/chromium/native-messaging-hosts/org.kde.plasma.browser_integration.json
etc/kde/opt/chrome/native-messaging-hosts/org.kde.plasma.browser_integration.json
etc/kde/opt/edge/native-messaging-hosts/org.kde.plasma.browser_integration.json
They do exist, but some of the results found on the net suggested that (according to an old KDE bug-report) that correct location should've been /etc/opt/...

I have no idea on what is correct or not...

The only error so far is the above error, any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Edit:
I also get the above error when I go by Menu -> Tools -> Extensions

Wish I had an answer for you.

All I can say is it runs here on -current.
Installed using Ruario's script.

Thanks cwizardone!

I re-installed Vivaldi after I had previous installation removed, including everything I could find in my user dir...
This time I used Ruario's script.

Installation went as expected, noticed no issues at all (as per usual).

Still I have error messages. So I continued to troubleshoot this...

Since I have errors related to extensions (plasma browser integration being one), I tried with --disable-extensions
Oddly enough, I still get errors related to extensions:

Code:
ERROR:CONSOLE(0)] "Unchecked runtime.lastError: The tab was closed.", source: chrome-extension://mpognobbkildjkofajifpdfhcoklimli/window.html (0)
[14632:14632:1220/211430.032855:ERROR:CONSOLE(1)] "Uncaught (in promise) undefined", source: chrome-extension://mpognobbkildjkofajifpdfhcoklimli/bundle.js (1)
The last error I see 3 times, just dif numbers at the beginning, guessing these are timestamps...

I also see errors related to non-existent mailbox, even if I set the browser up without mail, calendar and feeds.
But I also see an error related to SSL
Code:
ERROR:ssl_client_socket_impl.cc(975)] handshake failed; returned -1, SSL error code 1, net_error -200
And yes, I have updated current as of today upon starting the PC

If I start Vivaldi with --disable-vivaldi I get:
Code:
ERROR:interface_endpoint_client.cc(702)] Message 1 rejected by interface blink.mojom.WidgetHost
when I open any page. Open a new tab, type some URL and I get the same error

Closed Vivaldi, and started --disable-extensions again

Code:
[15824:15824:1220/213458.906966:ERROR:data_type_manager_impl.cc(36)] Managed User Settings cryptographer error was encountered:
[15824:15824:1220/213458.906982:ERROR:data_type_manager_impl.cc(36)] User Consents cryptographer error was encountered:

[15824:15824:1220/213458.906989:ERROR:data_type_manager_impl.cc(36)] Security Events cryptographer error was encountered:
[15824:15824:1220/213458.906996:ERROR:data_type_manager_impl.cc(36)] Sharing Message cryptographer error was encountered:

It might take a few days before I continue with this troubleshooting due to work. But I'll try read the forum via mobilephone when I get a chance to...

Opening a new tab, I see this error listed a couple of times...
Code:
ERROR:shared_image_manager.cc(220)] SharedImageManager::ProduceSkia: Trying to Produce a Skia representation from a non-existent mailbox
I found this on Vivaldi's forum.

I normally don't give up that easy, but this time I simply don't find the time to continue troubleshooting this.
The more I try, the more error messages I get.

So back to Firefox for now... I have loads of more to install
