Vesafb Problem

Hi there... im having some trouble with the Vesa frame buffer i get this error returned on boot

Jun 7 20:59:50 localhost kernel: radeonfb: Reference=27.00 MHz (RefDiv=12) Memory=250.00 Mhz, System=200.00 MHzJun 7 20:59:50 localhost kernel: radeonfb: PLL min 20000 max 40000
Jun 7 20:59:50 localhost kernel: Console: switching to colour frame buffer device 80x30
Jun 7 20:59:50 localhost kernel: radeonfb: ATI Radeon AS SDR SGRAM 256 MB
Jun 7 20:59:50 localhost kernel: vesafb: probe of vesafb0 failed with error -6

it will not allow me to change the resolution from the default it resorts to with any of the vga= options in Lilo.conf..
however fbset will allow me to change resolutions albeit halfway down the boot process and minus Tux.

so whats the deal with the vesafb? i had no problems with this before 2.6.10

Radeon 9550
kernel: 2.6.10

Thanks in advance

Brett.

No worries ive fixed the problem by adding this line to lilo.conf

append = "video=radeonfb:1024x768@75"
