Many thanks for all the good information and for suggesting I look at the docs. That will keep me off the streets and out of the bars.... for a little while anyway.

This was recommended to me when updating from 5.15.19 to 5.15.145 recently, and worked.
After having installed the kernel updates, run the following two commands:
Code:
geninitrd
eliloconfig
finally, reboot.
