Turning off the sayings


I just switched to Slackware from Redhat and really enjoy it so far.

How can the sayings or quotes that pop up every time you login or su be turned off?

they're called fortunes ($ man fortune) ... search on that term eg on this forum!

Look in /etc/profile.d/

Some quick chmod -x commands should do the trick.
