Everytime I boot up my slackbox, the soundmixer is on a very loud
setting.
This is quite annoying, especially late at night / or using headphones ! (I (my ears) dont like the soundchock!)
The question is therefore: Is it possibe / how do I set things up so that the soundmixer is set at a lower level or the settings that was used at previous sessions ?
in your runlevel directories (not sure what they're called on slack (/etc/rc.d/rc5.d ?) you should have a "sound" file, which should take values from /etc/.aumixrc or something similar. you can save a set of preferences from aumix to that file, if it doesn't exist already. just haev a little nosey around the SXXSound file...
