Not sure if mentioned yet, but...

kbd-1.15.3 > 2.0.2
iproute2-3.10.0 > 3.17.0
cryptsetup-1.4.3 > 1.6.6
nfs-utils-1.2.8 > 1.3.1
man-pages-3.69 > 3.75

Went digging on kernel.org to see if anything was updated and found those.

nmap-6.40 > 6.47

This requires a trivial update to the patch file. http://devio.us/~kfritz/nmap.ndiff.mandir.diff.gz

You've not actually tried this - it won't work.

I didn't have this one, and after looking at the changes, I'm a bit leery, but let's see how it goes here locally. So far all is well, but time will tell...

Got it, but I fixed mandir with a sed line - hopefully less maintenance there long-term... Thanks!

On LFS, 2.0.2 did have a patch and a sed argument.

http://linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/view...ter06/kbd.html

The sed removed a svgalib requirement and using the --disable-vlock argument as kbd does have a PAM dependency if enabled removes that requirement. I'll see if I can get a Slackbuild drafted if necessary Robby, or see if the current one needs some alterations.

Hi Robby,

Can you have a look on the last wicd release (wicd-1.7.3), maybe with an upgrade on urwid as well?

libmtp-1.1.6 in current is very old and should be updated to libmtp-1.1.8
Newer libmtp fixes transfer bugs on many mtp devices like smartphones.

Robby, I've often wondered, do you have scripts you like to use for testing Slackware? Or do you exercise individual packages by hand and look around for signs of trouble?

nfs-utils >= 1.3.0 wont compile on current with nfs4 and krb5 support. Looks like keyutils is too old. If you are going to upgrade nfs-utils could you look at keyutils too.

keyutils-1.5.5 > 1.5.9

Cheers

Aha, --disable-vlock indeed is the solution there. Bah.
Thanks - that puts this in a better position.

All the alsa related packages are now at version 1.0.28 with the exception of pyalsa-1.0.26.

Done, but I haven't used wicd in quite some time, so I'd like someone to confirm that these work:
