Andriy,

From your working Windows machine, can you do the following and post the results here.

Code:
C:\> tracert www.google.com
and

Code:
C:\> ipconfig /all
Hopefully the tracert will show the internal IP address of your modem. Might be able to make some progress after that.

My ISP's technician arrived this afternoon and I had my modem configuration (and modem) replaced. Instead of bridge/dhcp, I had it changed to router mode. I think that is the safest way to have my problem solved. Im glad it did solve my problem since I can't find a definitive guide on how to set it up on bridge/dhcp mode. I had it working now. Thanks for all who helped here. If I had the time, i'll switch back to bridge/dhcp mode and figure out how to set it up in slackware. =)
