Sorry - yes... But I completely forgot to reply!

Give me an hour to wake up and I'll make sure I reply.

Thanks

I'm still in the position of needing a sponsor (or slightly more monthly donations) in order to keep slackware.uk's server up and running.

Marav thought he may have found a sponsor, but unfortunately that has fallen through - but so much thanks to marav for trying his contact.

So, I'm here again asking for some help

If you have any contacts that might - even the remotest possibility - want to sponsor an Open Source supporting project, then please can you get in touch with me?

Things aren't looking good for the long term future at the moment, and I'd really like to get some sponsorship sorted sooner rather than later to keep the lights on

Thanks to everyone who has been donating in one way or the other - I really appreciate the support for slackware.uk from the community.

I do hope a solution will appear, it would be a great loss to the slackware community if your server had to be shut down. A small donation is on its way...

Sent small donation. Could be useful to have something like a gauge : worried - concerned - calm for a few months- quite peaceful ?

Thanks to everyone who has donated today - I really appreciate it

I'd say the worried-o-meter is somewhere between calm for a few months, and worried.

I've donated in the past, but with the present cost of living rises it looks very doubtful whether I'll be able to do so now. Sorry.

No problem - and no need to apologise

I always say "donate if you have the means" - I know living costs are stupid at the moment, so consider any donation something to be thankful for.

Ideally what's required is a new sponsor - I'm trying to put together a mental list of companies I could approach to see if they'd like to.

Chipped in a few hipster coffees worth in addition to the monthly coffee via patreon.

Good luck with the sponsorship search.

Hi,

First i want to say thanks for Slackware.uk and especially for the cumulative archive which save me few times and is something i think of every time i run updates.

The minimum monthly Patreon payment is 6 euro and i was thinking of a monthly contribution more around 2 euro.

Actually i have a monthly Patreon of 3€ for Slackware and send 100€ on new release. For me it make sense to give more monthly to Slackware than to Slackware.uk

In fact i was thinking to up a little the monthly payment to Slackware but 7€ + 6€ is more i can do.

Is it possible to lower this minimum ?

I've added a 'Broke Hacker' tier to the page at £1 - but I think you can subscribe to that as many times as you want in order to make up the donation amount you would like to make.

Thanks for wanting to make a donation
