I'm confused. Is "flippy" the new official logo? The first time I saw it was when I googled for it. It's not on the website. For what it's worth I don't like the "flippy" logo at all. It is just too hard to read. Letters are meant to be read. I understand that it can be read both backwards and upside down, but that's just because the letters are so messed up. I don't find it particularly clever at all.
fancylad, When the flippy logo first appeared it was quite a contentious issue. I suspect Pat just put it back on the website as a April Fools to see if he got a rise out of anyone. It was gone again this morning which suggests that may have been the case.
My thoughts at the time was that the flippy logo was a very good attempt at doing what was intended, but it didn't quite manage to pull it off as the contortions necessary to the letters was too much of a stretch IMO.
I read it as 'Slamwars'.
Anyway, I really don't want to get back into that again so 'nuff said.
