Rep:
Slackware installer does not boot. Stuck on Adaptec aacraid driver 1.1-5 [26400]-ms.
Well, over the summer I tried to install Slackware, but unfortunately the installer WON'T boot.
I downloaded the full DVD (all 4GiB) of Slackware 13.37, burned it, and put it in the drive. However, the installer won't show up because I'm stuck on this *bleep* Adaptec aacraid message >:-(
Here's an lspci, lsmod, and dmesg, as well as a /proc/cpuinfo (should that be of any help).
lspci:

Well, that's all I have. Here's what I have:
HP Pavilion a6410t
1.6GHz Dual-Core Intel Celeron processor
Linksys WUSB54GC v3 (RT2070L chipset)+
So. . . any ideas as to what's going wrong?

I have the same problem with Slackware 14.0. Any solution?
Anyway, the error occurs with Slackware 32-bit, not with 64-bit.

If you're not using dialup, do you think that you could pull the modem out of the machine? Or, if it's built onto the board try to disable it in BIOS. Having done a bit of research, I'm suspecting that Conexant winmodem might be what's causing the hang.
If you do this, please report back!

I have a Conexant Systems Inc. CX23885 PCI Video and Audio Decoder. I removed it and the installer works!
