Has anyone installed slackware on an IBM 1210 i Thinkpad ?
Just wondering how smooth the installation was, and if their is anything I should know about ?
I did installed slack 8.0 on an Thinkpad 380d, went very smooth, no problems at all. NOTHING has run faster than slackware on the thinkpad. As a matter of fact, that was my first slack installation ever. Im glad I did so!
How did you configure the settings for the monitor?
Mine Did not come with the kind of documentation I need, I think I have the Trackpoint figured out, once I get the scoop on the Trackpointer, I will install it... It is more compatible with everything than Windows XP is, Slackware ROCKS...
to configure the monitor, xf86config, then when choosing the monitor, for mine is just the standard laptop display capable of doing 800x600 and for the driver is the NeoMagic or something like that. I dont have my laptop with me, but Ill post it later.
