Slackware 8.1 and Gforce2 Problems

I am trying to install slackware 8.1 on a machine with a Gforce2 64 mb card. I am booting off of the CD and the screen goes blank? I can boot off of a Slackware 8.0 cd and the video doesn't go blank. If I switch the video cards when booting off of 8.1, it comes up fine. Is there any known problems with Slack 8.1 and the GForce Cards?

I don't remember offhand, but I think Slack 8.1 might have tried to enable framebuffering right off the bat for installation... There's a lot of new vid goop in the kernel that Patrick may have enabled. The CDROM gives you bare.i...

I really dunno, but I think the odds of getting this sorted will be better off with Slacker eyeballs so I'm slinging this one over to the Slack forum, you'll probably get a better response there.

I'm running 8.1 and no problems on install with my Gforce crd.
