Actually, if there are no packages to upgrade, when I give 'slackpkg-update', it will check and say there is no changes in the repository and asks me if I want to download all other files...
But after having downloaded all files, it says no packages to upgrade..strange
Why is this a problem? If the changelog changes it means there are new packages in the repository or new version of old packages. If you have installed the latest package that is in the repository you don't need to upgrade.
slackpkg update
downloads repo metainformation because it sees ChangeLog.txt modified since last update.
slackpkg upgrade-all
compares names of every installed package with package in Slackware tree. If it find different packages it listed them for upgrade. But all your installed packages has the same versions as in Slackware tree so nothing to upgrade.
If you think slackpkg make something wrong, open ChangeLog.txt and chek one by one listed there upgraded packages and installed. If different versions exist something goes wrong really.

Probably, like me, he didn't know that slackbuilds.org also provides a mirror for both 14.2 and current. I went to the mirror file to verify for myself.

I'm having the same problem. I can see changes in the current changelog but slackpkg upgrade-all is not finding them? Note this has only just started happening. I've changed the mirror but to no effect.
