I`ve had this happen with 8.1,current and 9. If I install
Slackware/a on a CDRW the install program can`t see it.
When I install on a CDR it works OK. Any ideas?
I tried three diff CDRWs and two computers same results.
The only thing that comes to mind is that possibly the cdrw was not finalized when it was burned. CDRs are usually automatically finalized since they can only be written to once, but it's been my experience that you need to select "finalize cd" for re-writable cds.
"Not finalized" Thats interesting. I looked at my CD maker
program and theres no such command. After I setup the basic
OS with CDR I can mount CDRW and read it. I can also install
packages from CDRW. Yet the install program wont see CDRW.
